3) Visits
DAY 1 : ( Monday, April 15th )
We had lunch at the school canteen and we got into the bus at 1 p.m.
We had two bus drivers.
We had dinner at about 9 p. m.

DAY 2: ( Tuesday, April 16th )
We arrived in CALAIS at 3 a.m and left our two drivers at a hotel. A new driver arrived and he stayed with us in London.
At 5:30 a.m we took the ferry boat to DOVER. The crossing lasted for 1 hour and a half.
We arrived in LONDON at 10 a.m.
We got into an English bus with a French guide who showed us the most famous London monuments ( Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, the London eye, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, the big building in the city, St Paul cathedral, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge).
Unfortunately we couldn’t see the changing of guards at Buckingham Palace because we were a bit late and there were too many groups!
We had lunch in a pub ( the Silver Cross) near Trafalgar Square. We ate fish and chips, chocolate sponge cake and tea. It was delicious!
We all loved our fish and chips!!
At 2 p.m we went to the National Gallery and saw many paintings.
At 4 p.m, 4 groups went shopping to Covent Garden but my group stayed with our teacher around Trafalgar Square because we were tired. We took photos and bought presents for our family.
The bus arrive at 7 and an English coach drove us to COLCHESTER.
We arrived at 10pm! It was late and we were hungry and very tired!
We had dinner with our host families and we went to bed.

DAY 3: ( Wednesday, April 17th )
We arrived at the meeting point ( a car park near the sea ) at 8:30 a.m and we went to London.
It was difficult to visit London because it was Margaret Thatcher’s funeral and there were photographers and policemen everywhere!! The roads were cut !!
We didn’t go to the Science museum but we arrived at Westminster Pier on time. We got into the boat and arrived at the Tower of London at 12:45.
We saw Tower Brigde: it’s my favourite monument!!!
We saw the Globe, Shakespeare's theatre. There were people queuing outside!
We had lunch on benches in front of the Tower of London. It was sunny!
We visited the Tower of London from 2 to 4:30 p.m and then we went to Oxford street.
We arrived in our host families at 8 p.m.

DAY 4: ( Thursday, April 18th )
At 7:30 a.m we got into the bus and Eric ( our bus driver) drove us to London.
There was a lot of traffic!
We arrived at the British Museum at 10: 30. There were many groups from different countries.
We saw the Rosetta Stone and lots of sculptures.
Then, we went to Windsor. We had lunch in a park near the castle. It rained and in the afternoon it was sunny again! We visited the castle. It was GREAT!!!! Then we went shopping near the castle.
We arrived in Colchester at 8 p.m

We put our luggage in the bus at 7:30 a.m.
We arrived in DOVER at 11 o’clock.
The crossing lasted 1 hour and a half and we had lunch on board. We had the packed lunch the families gave us.
We arrived in CALAIS at 3p.m and we left Victoria with her grand-parents near the station. Two new drivers arrived and they drove us to a cafeteria where we had a drink and “a pain au chocolat”.
We had dinner in another cafeteria and then we watched a good film! I loved it!
We slept because we were tired and we arrived in SIGEAN at 6: 15 a.m.
We had a good time in London! IT WAS GREAT!!
